I was born in a small city in Alberta, Canada in 1968. In 2000, a change of life circumstances led to a hurried trip to Asia. This trip cemented a strong love of travel and a desire to see more of the world and meet more of its people. Since that time, I have been lucky enough to travel and live in East Asia. Of course, there is never enough time or money to travel everywhere I might desire, but I am doing my best.

My other passion is photography; I have had a passing interest in capturing people and places for many years, but in the past three years I have become quite devoted to capturing people and places. I am so fortunate that my hobbies blend so well. There is nothing I would rather do than visit somewhere new with a camera in my hands and new people to photograph.

This site is dedicated to these two loves of my life. Photography and travel; they keep me happy and poor.
